American Family Insurance Selects NexJ Contact for Insurance

NexJ’s Integrated Agent Desktop will become the primary access point for the day-to-day business activities performed by all agents and customer service representatives

Toronto, January 11, 2011 — NexJ Systems Inc, a leading provider of enterprise CRM solutions for the financial services, insurance and healthcare industries, today announced that American Family Insurance, the third-largest mutual property/casualty insurance company in the United States, ranking 344th on the Fortune 500 list, has selected NexJ Contact for Insurance to deliver an Integrated Agent Desktop to all its agents and customer service representatives (CSRs).

Once implemented, agents and CSRs will be using the Integrated Agent Desktop as the primary access point from which they will conduct their day-to-day business. It will integrate lead and contact information from multiple systems to provide a comprehensive, single view of the customer across the enterprise. The solution will also synchronize their activities with Microsoft Outlook and mobile devices, so agents always have the information they need at hand.

“American Family’s vision for a modern, people-centered solution is directly in line with NexJ Systems’ vision for next generation CRM. Today’s most successful enterprises understand that they need a solution that can integrate customer information from across the enterprise, and across channels. NexJ’s solution provides enterprises a comprehensive view of their customer so they can drive intelligent, proactive interactions and respond to the rapidly changing customer demands in the market today.” says William M. Tatham, Chairman and CEO, NexJ Systems Inc.

NexJ solutions are built on a model-driven platform designed for integration, customization and scalability, offering the Services-Oriented Architecture-based platform the insurance industry is demanding.

Gartner Inc., the world’s leading information technology research and advisory company, has identified Web Services and Service-Oriented Architecture as a technology that will have a great impact on the Property and Casualty Insurance industry as it allows companies to successfully differentiate themselves to drive revenue growth. “P&C insurers operate a large ecosystem of systems and applications that integrate for seamless processing. In the past, companies had to hard-code integration between systems, which was costly, time-consuming, created challenges when applications were replaced and integration had to be redone, and was often difficult to overhaul due to technology incompatibility. The use of Web services/service-oriented architecture (SOA) enables companies to deploy services instead of using one-to-one integration. These technologies will help insurers improve their straight-through processing (STP) capabilities and reduce integration costs.”*
