Position Summary
As a Technical Writing co-op you will be responsible for updating and expanding the technical documentation for NexJ Studio. NexJ Studio is the development environment that we use to create our end-user solutions for our enterprise software.
The documentation provides in-line help about our development tools as well as the classes, actions, and models that constitute our framework.
We are looking for a skilled technical writer to join our Software Documentation team.
Major responsibilities for the position will include but are not limited to:
- Reviewing the in-line help for our development tools and code
- Working with the development team subject matter experts to expand and improve the information provided by the in-product help
- Expanding the information provided in order to increase the quality and utility of the help
- Working with the subject matter experts to ensure the technical accuracy of all documentation produced
- Ensuring adherence to a set of documentation style standards
Essential Skills and Qualifications
NexJ is seeking Intermediate and/or Senior level students working towards a Technical or Writing related Degree/Diploma with the Co-op option.

- Previous academic or work experience with object-oriented programming concepts and/or structures
- Strong interpersonal skills in order to be able to communicate with all members of the organization
- Analytical ability to produce technical documentation
